Key Responsibilities
  • Primary responsibility for driving and supporting technical sales.
  • Be the first level technical resource for the field sales force
  • Act as the interface between field sales and the Professional Services (PS) department’s which designs all the value-added services to customers- L&S vertical.
  • Holds primary responsibility for technical sales activities for; maintains direct contact and relationships with customers and internal teams in that regard.  
  • Responsible for accurately identifying and scoping the appropriate solution (hardware, software, services combination) to meet stated customer goals.  Additionally, the Sales Engineer is responsible for appropriately positioning the proposed solution in support of the sales process to both business and technical users.  More broadly, the goal of the Sales Engineer is to support the wider sales activity from a technical perspective.  
  • The Sales Engineer must articulate services positioning and technology to both business and technical users.
  • Is responsible for identifying all technical and regulatory issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. 
  • Complete knowledge of international regulations related to temperature sensitive products, such as PDA, EU GDP, etc. and also local regulations for China (national & provincials) – NMPA, GSP etc.
Key Requirements
  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • 10 years’ experience including experience in project management, logistics, R&D, packaging or sales
  • Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry in China. Have worked in or as a provider/supplier to the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Good track record of sales – competent & strong sales aptitude. 
  • Technical and operational understanding of Professional Services offering & solution sales
  • In-depth understanding of cold chain operations knowledge & issues in the LS industry
  • Ability to work with cross functional team including engineers and salespeople
  • Ability to create effective presentations in time constrained environment.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work in a multi-tasking environment.
  • Effective written, oral and presentation skills and fluent & good command of English is a must.
  • Travel, primarily in the China region and occasional travel to other territories in Asia-Pacific.
