About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Compensation & Benefits (C&B) Leader to lead the design and management of our global compensation strategy, with a strong focus on North America and China markets.
This role will be responsible for building a competitive, scalable, and performance-driven compensation framework, including salary structures, incentive programs, and equity-based compensation, to support the company’s global expansion and talent strategy.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience designing cross-border compensation systems, particularly with North American market practices, and the ability to partner closely with business leaders and headquarters to ensure alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Compensation Strategy & Framework

Design and implement global compensation structures, including salary bands, job grading systems, and benchmarking frameworks.

Lead compensation benchmarking across North America, China, and other key markets to ensure external competitiveness.

Establish scalable total rewards frameworks aligned with company growth and talent strategy.
Incentive & Equity Program Design

Design and manage short-term and long-term incentive programs, including annual bonus plans and sales incentives.

Lead the design and implementation of equity incentive plans (e.g., stock options, RSU, ESOP), ensuring alignment with global talent retention strategy.

Partner with finance, legal, and leadership teams on equity grant strategy and governance.
Global Rewards Governance

Develop policies and processes to ensure consistent and compliant compensation practices across regions.

Ensure alignment between headquarters compensation strategy and overseas offices, particularly in North America.

Manage annual compensation review cycles including merit increases, promotion adjustments, and bonus allocations.
Data, Analytics & Decision Support

Provide data-driven insights on compensation competitiveness, internal equity, and cost management.

Partner with HRBP and leadership teams to support strategic hiring, executive compensation, and retention planning.
Cross-functional Collaboration

Work closely with HRBP, Finance, Legal, and leadership teams to ensure effective execution of compensation programs.

Support senior leadership in board-level compensation discussions and strategic talent decisions.
Qualifications

8–12+ years of experience in Compensation & Benefits or Total Rewards roles.

Proven experience designing and implementing compensation frameworks across multiple regions, especially North America and China.

Hands-on experience with equity incentive design, including stock options, RSUs, or other long-term incentive plans.

Strong understanding of North American compensation practices and market benchmarking methodologies.

Experience working with global or fast-growing technology companies is strongly preferred.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate compensation data into actionable business insights.

Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience partnering with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

Experience supporting global expansion or overseas subsidiaries.

Familiarity with IPO-stage or high-growth companies' equity incentive structures.

Experience working in technology, internet, AI, or hardware companies.
