Job Title: Quality Manager

Location: China (Kaiping area preferred)

Overview
We are partnering with a well-established manufacturer in the sanitaryware / faucet industry to recruit an experienced and hands‑on Quality Manager. The role will lead the quality function across production and supply chain activities, ensuring products meet customer, regulatory and internal standards. The ideal candidate combines strong quality systems knowledge with practical manufacturing experience in metal, plating, casting or finished‑goods assembly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality System Leadership: Develop, implement and maintain the site quality management system (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards; drive continuous improvement of quality processes and documentation.
  • Incoming Material & Supplier Quality: Establish and monitor supplier qualification, incoming inspection criteria, and corrective actions; manage supplier audits and performance improvement plans.
  • In‑process & Final Inspection: Define inspection plans, sampling procedures and quality checkpoints across production lines; ensure consistent application of test methods and acceptance criteria.
  • Nonconformance & CAPA Management: Lead investigation of quality incidents and customer complaints using root‑cause analysis tools (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone); implement corrective and preventive actions and track their effectiveness.
  • Product Testing & Validation: Oversee testing of key product attributes (e.g., dimensional, performance, corrosion/plating, leakage), coordinate lab calibration and validation activities.
  • Process Control & Statistical Quality: Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC), capability studies (Cp/Cpk) and inspection data analysis to reduce variation, scrap and rework.
  • Regulatory & Customer Compliance: Ensure products meet applicable national and international regulatory requirements and customer specifications; prepare documentation for audits and customer visits.
  • Team Leadership & Training: Manage and develop the quality team (inspectors, engineers); design and deliver quality training (inspection techniques, FMEA, control plans) to production and engineering staff.
  • Cross‑functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, engineering, R&D and procurement to support new product introductions (NPI), change control and design for manufacturability initiatives.
  • Reporting & KPIs: Define, monitor and report quality KPIs (reject rates, customer returns, NCRs, CAPA closure time) and present trends and improvement plans to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, Quality Management or related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 5–8 years of quality management or senior quality engineering experience in manufacturing; experience in faucets, sanitaryware, metal casting, plating/coating or precision metal components is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (SPC, FMEA, PPAP, APQP, control plans); proficient with inspection instruments and lab test methods; familiarity with ISO 9001 and customer audit processes.
  • Analytical Ability: Proven track record using root‑cause analysis and data‑driven problem solving to reduce defects and improve processes.
  • Communication & Leadership: Effective communicator in Mandarin and English (spoken and written); demonstrated ability to lead and develop multidisciplinary teams.
  • Personal Attributes: Detail‑oriented, pragmatic, results‑driven, and able to work in a fast‑paced production environment.
