Our client is seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Expert with strong expertise in HV (High Voltage) / heavy electrical equipment. You will ensure our key suppliers of transformers, motors, and drives meet strict quality standards. Background in Steel or Heavy Industry is highly preferred. This role requires frequent communication with global teams, so fluent English is a must.

- Audit and qualify new suppliers for electrical products (e.g., Power Transformers, HV/LV Motors, VFDs, PLC Panels, Switchgears).
- Evaluate supplier capabilities specifically for the steel/heavy industry sector.
- Review supplier quality plans with a focus on electrical safety, insulation, and thermal management.
- Conduct process audits at supplier sites for critical components (e.g., windings, IGBT modules, PCBs).
- Lead Factory Acceptance Tests, verifying high-voltage tests (Hi-Pot, Partial Discharge, Temperature Rise).
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for major electrical failures (e.g., transformer burnout, drive faults, PLC interference) found at steel mill sites.
- Monitor supplier KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
- Use fluent English to discuss technical issues and report quality status with international colleagues and partners.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 8+ years of experience, with at least 5 years in SQE or Electrical Quality/Engineering roles.
- Deep knowledge of manufacturing and quality standards for: Transformers, HV/LV Motors, Drives & Controls
- Experience in the Steel (Rolling mills, Melting shops) or Heavy Machinery industry is preferred
- Fluent English (verbal and written) and Mandarin is mandatory for global communication.
- Familiar with ISO9001; VDA 6.3 is a plus.
- Willing and able to travel frequently (approx. 40%) to supplier factories and project sites.
