Role Summary
This role is responsible for establishing and driving best practices in technical development and manufacturing processes for new product initiatives and post-launch improvements. The position works closely with R&D, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to ensure products meet quality, regulatory, and consumer requirements, while enabling robust and scalable production.
The role also leads the resolution of complex technical challenges and supports continuous improvement across development and manufacturing activities.
Key Responsibilities
Define development and process control strategies for new products, ensuring alignment with regulatory and quality requirements from pilot to commercial scale
Support the delivery of robust, validated manufacturing processes for new product introductions, including technical documentation and risk assessments
Lead the investigation and resolution of complex process and technical issues, driving continuous improvement in processes and technologies
Apply scientific principles and Quality by Design methodologies to build process understanding and scale-up models that support commercial manufacturing
Partner with development and manufacturing teams to manage technology transfer and scale-up activities in compliance with quality systems
Provide technical guidance on experimental design and advanced studies, including independent design of key experiments
Act as a technical leader within the team, coaching and developing junior team members to strengthen overall technical capability
Required Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical discipline
Approximately 7–10 years of relevant experience in product and process development
Demonstrated end-to-end experience in OTC or closely related products, from development through to market launch
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and regulatory requirements within pharmaceutical or food-related environments
Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional, matrix organizations and to take ownership of complex technical topics
Preferred Qualifications
Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to bridge technical and operational perspectives
Experience working with manufacturing sites or external partners, balancing timelines, quality, and feasibility
