Job Title: Battery Chemistry Technology Expert
Report to: Innovation Director in Europe
Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Dispersion and Battery Expert to develop state-of-the-art, scalable dispersion methodologies for the battery industry. You will play a pivotal role in linking R&D with customer applications, driving innovation, and influencing product development and sales through your technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement scalable, industry-leading dispersion methodologies and equipment.

Design experiments and analyze data related to slurry rheology, coating processes, and cell performance to meet customer requirements.

Lead internal and external innovation projects, from concept to production scale-up.

Monitor industry trends and new technologies in dispersion to inform strategic development.

Define material requirements based on evolving cell technologies to guide future product development.

Author testing reports, work instructions, and standard operating procedures for new methods.

Support a consultative sales approach by providing technical expertise to the marketing and sales teams, including direct customer interaction.

Drive laboratory automation and the implementation of new data management systems (e.g., LIMS).

Ensure a safe working environment by preparing risk assessments, operating instructions, and promoting continuous safety improvements.
Requirements:

Ph.D. in Chemistry or Electrochemistry preferred, or equivalent relevant work experience.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in Lithium-ion cell chemistry, with a background in recognized Tier 1 battery companies.

Proven expertise in advanced material dispersion and the use of dispersant additives, with a strong customer-focused approach.

Demonstrated high level of autonomy and experience leading national/international scale-up projects.

Excellent English communication skills and proficiency with MS Office. Experience with advanced data tools (LIMS, ELN, MATLAB) is a plus.

Strong natural leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with global teams, senior management, and external partners.
