Position: Demand Planning Manager
Location: Shanghai, China
Annual Salary: RMB 400,000 – 500,000

Reporting Line:
This position reports directly to the Supply Chain Director and works closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance. The role serves as a strategic link between commercial and supply planning functions.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the demand planning process by integrating historical data, market insights, and sales input to build accurate mid- to long-term demand forecasts.

Drive the monthly S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process to ensure alignment between departments on forecast assumptions and business outlook.

Develop and enhance forecasting models and planning tools to improve demand accuracy and support business decision-making.

Monitor forecast accuracy and identify root causes for deviations between forecast and actuals; provide insights and improvement initiatives.

Collaborate with supply planning, production, and inventory teams to ensure optimal product availability and stock turnover.

Utilize data and analytics to support strategic planning and inventory optimization efforts.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or above in Supply Chain, Statistics, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in demand planning or supply chain planning, preferably in the personal care or FMCG industry; food industry background also welcomed.

Strong analytical and data interpretation skills; proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and forecasting tools such as SAP APO, Oracle, or other ERP systems.

Excellent cross-functional communication and project coordination skills.

Fluent in Mandarin and capable of working in English in a business environment.
