Job Title: Managing Director, China
Location: Shanghai, China
Reporting Relationships: Head of Region APAC
Our client is looking for an experienced Managing Director to lead and manage the New Business and Life Cycle Service team with full P&L responsibility to drive growth, aligning to the strategic plan for China. The person will also establish and implement a 3-5 years’ strategy designed to maximize growth and financial value of the market by tripling the topline. He/she is also to lead the business development, key account management, and org/people development in the country.

Our client is looking for an experienced Managing Director to lead and manage the New Business and Life Cycle Service team with full P&L responsibility to drive growth, aligning to the strategic plan for China. The person will also establish and implement a 3-5 years’ strategy designed to maximize growth and financial value of the market by tripling the topline. He/she is also to lead the business development, key account management, and org/people development in the country.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Master’s degree/MBA will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in business and sales management, key account, and channel management with high level of customer contact.
- Min 10 years of experience in preferably in Intralogistics or related fields, with high exposure to retail, e-commerce, 3PL, mining, transportation, government bodies, and/or Bio-Pharmaceutical industries.
- Strong commercial background with solid technical understanding.
- Strong strategic capability with ability to create successful business strategies and plans for mid/long term period.
- High business acumen with proven track record of true P&L responsibility, leading a business and achieving results with strong growth.
- Experience in leading teams of minimum of 80 - 100 people.
- High level of exposure to international environment, cultural experience, leadership experience, networking experience, and innovation.
- Highly collaborative with ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, comfortable working in a matrix environment with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel frequently domestically. Occasional international travel for business meeting and training.
- Ability to develop a team and collaborate effectively.
- Chinese native and English fluent (both speaking and writing).
