Key Responsibilities:

Lead and contribute to R&D efforts in developing optical assembly concepts for micro-optic components and systems.

Design, construct, and optimize experimental setups and engineering solutions for optical alignment, bonding, and performance assessment.

Plan and conduct experiments jointly with international project teams and technical partners.

Collaborate closely with the metrology team to define characterization approaches, interpret measurement results, and generate actionable technical insights for development work.

Develop and implement precision alignment techniques for optical elements and subassemblies at micro-scale tolerances.

Assist in evaluating and selecting materials, fixtures, joining techniques, and assembly concepts for optical applications.

Examine technical data, pinpoint root causes of performance deviations, and tackle complex engineering problems.

Help advance optical technologies in alignment with technical roadmaps and business objectives.

Document technical results, deliver clear recommendations, and disseminate knowledge across the organization.

Foster innovation through patent filings, technical publications, presentations, and departmental knowledge exchange.

Facilitate the transfer of newly developed solutions from R&D to industrial deployment.
Qualifications:

Master's or Ph.D. in Physics, Optics, Photonics, Opto-Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.

Hands-on experience with optical and micro-optical assemblies, encompassing characterization and technical assessment.

Proven track record in designing and building experimental setups, engineering fixtures, or technical workstations for optical use.

Practical laboratory experience with optical components and advanced optical instruments.

Solid grasp of precision optical alignment, including micro-alignment techniques.

Experience in technical data analysis and applying statistical methods to inform engineering decisions.
