Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join a leading industrial manufacturing organization in Shanghai. This role is crucial for overseeing the engineering functions within the manufacturing facility, ensuring optimal production processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing engineering, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Engineering Leadership:
  Lead and manage the manufacturing engineering team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high performance and professional development.

• Process Improvement:
  Identify, develop, and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization.

• Project Management:
  Oversee engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

• Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
  Work closely with production, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment in manufacturing processes and product quality.

• Technology Integration:
  Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies and automation solutions to enhance operational capabilities and competitiveness.

• Compliance and Safety:
  Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices in manufacturing operations.

• Performance Metrics:
  Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess manufacturing performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Education:
  Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.

• Experience:
  8+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or related roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial position within an industrial manufacturing environment.

• Technical Skills:
  Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, tools, and technologies, with experience in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

• Leadership Skills:
  Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

• Analytical Skills:
  Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

• Communication Skills:
  Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
