Role Summary
Responsible for driving revenue growth by developing new markets, building strong customer relationships, and closing strategic deals. Focuses on margin protection, forecasting, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve sales goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve profitable revenue growth and meet gross margin targets.
- Use customer-centric sales tools and methods (e.g., business reviews, scorecards, prospecting, funnel management, CRM) to drive effectiveness.
- Build and manage relationships at all levels within customer organizations.
- Identify, track, and close new business opportunities aligned with short- and long-term goals.
- Conduct prospecting and cold calling to expand the customer base.
- Develop and execute sales plans, budgets, and account development strategies.
- Negotiate pricing and contracts to ensure value delivery and profitability.
- Understand industry trends, key players, and technical requirements to become a subject matter expert.
- Collaborate with regional sales teams and technical groups to deliver integrated solutions.
- Monitor competition and develop strategies to mitigate threats.
- Create written account plans with clear performance metrics for strategic accounts.
- Manage expenses and report results in a timely manner.
- 8+ years of experience in commercial or technical roles.
- Proven track record in business development, preferably with specialty engineering polymers.
- Strong ability to build customer relationships and solve technical problems hands-on.
- Experience in value-added and technical selling is a strong plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to engage with R&D, business, and procurement teams.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and under pressure.
- Willingness to travel up to 75%
