Job Title: Director of Marketing and Admissions
Location: Johor Bahru, Malaysia
Reporting Line: Head of School & Head of Operation
 
Overview: The Director of Marketing and Admissions is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies, enhancing the school's brand image, and overseeing the student admission process. This role requires a strong marketing background, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the education sector.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute marketing plans and strategies to promote the school's programs and increase brand visibility locally and internationally.
  • Conduct market research to identify target markets, analyze competitor activities, and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Create and manage marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital marketing, social media, print media, and events.
  • Collaborate with the admissions team to develop and implement effective student recruitment strategies, ensuring the enrollment targets are met.
  • Manage the school's website, ensuring that it is up-to-date, user-friendly, and reflects the school's brand identity.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with media partners, agencies, and other stakeholders to maximize the exposure and media coverage.
  • Oversee the production of marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, videos, and presentations, ensuring that they align with the school's brand guidelines.
  • Monitor and analyze marketing and admissions metrics, providing regular reports to the school leadership team to track the effectiveness of marketing efforts.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement branding strategies that differentiate the school from competitors.
  • Work closely with the admissions team to streamline the admission process, ensuring it is efficient, student-centered, and aligns with the school's values and policies.
  • Represent the school at relevant industry conferences, events, and fairs to enhance the school's reputation and build relationships with potential students, parents, and partners.
  • Stay updated on the latest marketing trends, technologies, and best practices in the education sector, continually looking for innovative ways to improve the school's marketing and branding efforts.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in marketing and branding, preferably in the education sector.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing strategies, including SEO, SEM, social media marketing, and content marketing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and persuade diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with enrollment management systems and admission processes in an international school setting.
  • Proficiency in using marketing tools and platforms, such as CRM software, email marketing software, and analytics tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
