Position Overview: As the Head of New Business Lines for Greater China, you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction and growth of our client's new business ventures within the region. This role demands a visionary leader who can identify market opportunities, develop innovative strategies, and execute plans to expand our client's footprint in the FMCG sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for introducing new business lines within the brand new BU in Greater China, aligning with the company's overall objectives and growth targets.
  2. Lead market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscapes, providing insights to inform strategic decision-making.
  3. Establish strong partnerships and alliances with key stakeholders including distributors, retailers, suppliers, and other relevant industry players to facilitate business expansion and market penetration.
  4. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, product development, and supply chain to ensure seamless execution of new business initiatives.
  5. Drive product innovation and development efforts, leveraging consumer insights and market feedback to create compelling offerings that meet the evolving needs of consumers in the Greater China market.
  6. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), financial metrics, and market data to evaluate the effectiveness of new business strategies and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.
  7. Build and lead a high-performing team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  2. Proven track record of at least 8-10 years in strategic business development, new market entry, or related roles within the FMCG industry, with a focus on Greater China.
  3. Demonstrated experience in successfully launching and scaling new business ventures, products, or brands in highly competitive markets.
  4. Deep understanding of the FMCG landscape in Greater China, including consumer behavior, market dynamics, regulatory environment, and distribution channels.
  5. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams, drive consensus, and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
  6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a results-oriented mindset.
  7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese.
