Infrastructure System Engineer

Our client is a global leading company that dedicated to innovation in precision medicine.

Primary Function of Position:
As an Infrastructure Systems Engineer, you will be working on our Infrastructure team to support customer facing products and services, and Software development teams. These teams leverage software development projects to create new digital products and services. You will be helping deploy, manage and support our Dev/UAT/PRD environment on AWS Cloud. The servers you will be supporting are both Windows and Linux.


Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provision and manage our fleet of Windows and Linux servers in both DEV, UAT and PROD environment (Patching, Onboarding/Offboarding, Backup/Recovery and Incident response contribution etc.)

• Evaluate and monitor system performance to identify and resolve impending performance issues
• Automate Operation processes where possible
• Architect and project manage new infrastructure projects, changes and upgrades
• Identify, repair and recover from hardware/software/system failures
• Coordinate and communicate with leadership on proposed or implemented resolutions and changes

 
Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:

• Team player with can-do attitude, identify issues with solution
• Minimum 5 years Systems/Infrastructure, or related engineering experience
• Proficient in at least one of scripting language, PowerShell and Python preferred
• Familiar with Windows and Linux Operating System
• Experience with cloud services such as AWS, AliCloud
• Solid understanding of TCP network and related protocols. DNS, DHCP, SSH, NFS.
• Strong experience managing Windows and Linux environment using AD and configuration management solution like Ansible.
• Previous experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code highly preferred
• Experience managing PKI, Cert issuing system
• Familiar with Docker/Container technology
• Experience implementing Security Best Practices
• Experience with Enterprise tools like Splunk, Nagios, ELK etc.
• B.S in Computer Science or related technical major, or commensurate experience
• Fluent in English
• Travel: <10%
