Payment Digital Transformation Product/Project Director

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute a comprehensive digital transformation strategy for payment projects, aligning with global vision and objectives.
2. Lead a team of project managers and technologists to deliver large-scale, complex payment projects on time and within budget.
3. Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to identify opportunities for digital innovation in payment solutions.
4. Drive the adoption of agile methodologies and best practices in project delivery.
5. Oversee the management of project risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring timely resolution and mitigation.
6. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and industry partners.
7. Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, risks, and opportunities.
8. Contribute to the development of the digital payments roadmap, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
9. Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Requirements:

1. Proven track record in leading digital transformation initiatives within the payments industry.
2. Extensive experience in project management, with a strong understanding of agile and waterfall methodologies.
3. Deep knowledge of payment systems, technologies, and regulatory landscapes.
4. Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
5. Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to drive projects that deliver tangible business benefits.
6. Fluent in English and preferably Mandarin, given the regional focus of many projects.
7. Certifications in project management (PMP, MSP, Prince2, or Agile PM) are highly desirable.
8. Experience in working with global teams and managing cross-cultural dynamics.
9. A strong network within the financial services industry, particularly in the payments space.
