Position Overview:

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of factory operations, production processes, and supply chain management within the apparel manufacturing industry. Strong communication skills in both English and Chinese are essential, and the role requires frequent travel to manufacturing sites in Southeast Asia. The candidate will be responsible for managing cross-functional teams, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring high-quality production standards.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Factory Operations Management: Lead and optimize day-to-day operations in manufacturing facilities across Southeast Asia. Ensure production targets, timelines, and quality standards are consistently met.
  • Project Coordination: Manage end-to-end project lifecycles, from conceptualization and design phases through to production and delivery, ensuring that projects stay on schedule, within budget, and meet quality expectations.
  • Supplier & Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and manufacturers, ensuring smooth production operations and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement best practices and process improvements to enhance production efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee product quality at every stage of the production process and work with quality control teams to ensure compliance with both internal and external standards.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with design, logistics, procurement, and quality teams to align production capabilities with business needs and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Provide regular updates on project progress, factory performance, and any potential risks to senior management.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks that could disrupt production timelines or quality.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management within the manufacturing or production sector, ideally in the fashion or apparel industry.
  • Manufacturing Operations Expertise: In-depth knowledge of factory operations, production processes, and supply chain management within the apparel manufacturing industry.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English (both written and spoken). Proficiency in Cantonese/Chinese is a significant advantage.
  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel frequently to Southeast Asia (with occasional extended stays).
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment and engage with teams from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on finding solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams to meet project objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Location: Hong Kong-based candidates are preferred, with a solid understanding of regional markets and operations in Southeast Asia.
  • Industry Experience: Prior experience in the fashion or apparel manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin is highly advantageous.
