- Develop and implement sales strategy for the segments of CON, POL and COG in the region to achieve the organization's short and long-term sales goals.
- Provide close collaboration with local management team and Group Functions to implement and meet area objectives.
- Establish trusting relationship with business key stakeholders internally and externally to align on the strategy: leading overall business performance including sales, service, product management, marketing, HR, plant etc.
- Commercial representative in China Management Team
- Manage strategic topics in partnership, pricing, localization, sales stimulation and business development initiatives. Develop and oversee execution of sales plans for the three segments.
- Lead sales team(s) in the area, who can competently achieve marketing business plans, sales budgets, drive top line results, support and consult the customers in all aspects on their applications
- Set clear targets and monitor sales performance for the product segments in the area including volume, price, and receivables, and complaints.
- Support the Area Management Team on Merger & Acquisitions Projects.
- Conduct and conclude positive negotiations with customers as directed.
- Work closely with marketing counterparts, and create collaborative environment for enhancing sales growth for the product segments in the area, also in co-operation with Marketing Development & Innovation function of the segments.
- Develop and manage high level and strategic account interaction.
- Develop high level relationship with key principals.
- Working with Key-Accounts under the direction of the regional Key Account Management.
- 10 years of experience in sales/marketing roles, at least 5 years in a senior management position for a similar business/industry.
- Technical and/or sales experience in Industrial minerals and/or Chemicals.
- Wide coverage in coatings, adhesives, polymers like BOPP, Breathable film, non-woven etc. business
- Will be an advantage for consumer goods such as cosmetics and food industries, experience with Unilever and rubber industry like Pirelli and Continental etc. will be a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, social competence and strong team player.
- Experience in Matrix organization will be added advantage.
- Excellent ability for planning, development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies/business plans.
- Strong entrepreneurial spirit.
- Highly motivated and results orientated person, perseverant, able to work with limited daily supervision
