The Job
Your Responsibilities
- Lead the Regulatory and Scientific Affairs (RSA) team activities in the Asia- Pacific (APAC) region, coordinating with commercial, technical and operation teams, supporting key customers and business partners, coordinating with external regulatory authorities and technical institutions, to ensure alignment with local regulations and with ADM Regional and Global regulatory procedures, to support implementation of the ADM growth plan in the APAC region.
- There should be a key focus and expertise in the strategic growth areas of Flavor and Beverage
Your Responsibilities
- Work with internal stakeholders in research & development, commercial, technical, operations, quality, supply chain, customer service, marketing and product management teams, related to any regulatory requests, providing support and solutions, maintaining various data needed support our core business needs
- Coordinate and manage external stakeholders including customers, business partners, government authorities, trade associations and academic institutions as needed to support the business
- Develop and maintain a regulatory knowledge network that ensures is always up-to-date regarding current regulatory requirements and future regulatory changes for the APAC region. Provide regular updates on regulatory activities and insights to management, country and functional heads.
- Support other regions and affiliates as it relates to the Chinese regulations.
- Support R&D team with product novel registrations for innovative technologies, new food applications and manufacturing processes by developing a professional registration dossier. Work closely with R&D to provide any necessary regulatory assessments, work with external authorities or consultants as necessary
- Actively participate in industry associations, authorities and government related activities. Further develop this network and the influence.
- Coordinate Asia regional or international customers or projects well by co-working within RSA community located across Asia region (or seats in EU / US / LATAM) in varies countries, to consolidate inputs in a well-organized way to answering customers back in a short period of time, and update from time to time following project cadence.
- Conduct regulatory compliance review for corporate communication materials, market sell sheets and promotion materials, customer presenting materials etc. provide professional regulatory comments and possible amendment advise, co-work with internal functions to develop materials together.
- Support to key customer accounts. Ensure timely regulatory support is provided to customers through issuance of documents and answering queries.
- Support regulatory assessment for M&A projects as needed.
- Develop and manage a professional RSA team. Growing and developing the team’s capability. Ensure appropriate succession plans are in place
- Ensure that the region and global KPI are achieved.
