Responsibilities:

●Lead and manage the governance of the company’s Core and Business Principles, company’s global ethical and compliance toolkit and any associated local policies across our China market.
●Lead and drive China Compliance Committee, ensure compliance culture to be engaged thoroughly on China market. Partner with market Legal, Finance, People to run investigations and propose a recommendation when needed.
●Develop an ongoing management framework and audit programme for ensuring the success of these policies locally.
●Handle and manage Compliance and People Ethics queries and issues as they arise within the China market.
●Be a sound and trusted advisor on Compliance topics and being able to give advice, working with Legal, when appropriate.
●Manage the Company whistleblowing hotline in partnership with Executive Director, International Employment Law & Compliance.
●Work closely with the local MD, Legal, Finance, People, Procurement and Comms to develop and continuously improve appropriate systems and processes for the management of compliance in China.
●Lead and support teams in China and the China leadership team on required compliance governance including 3rd party due diligence and review of our vendor relationships.
●Responsibility for embedding of policies, new procedures, on-going training and awareness in China. Develop and deliver appropriate training for the compliance programme whilst also working with Comms in any appropriate external facing statements.
●Partner with our Heads of Legal in China on compliance matters.
●Work as part of the Global Legal & Policy team on embedding global compliance standards in China.
●Responsibility for relevant Compliance-related workplace investigations in China;
●Work with external counsel as necessary on regulatory and legal compliance requirements and provide guidance and training to Legal & Policy colleagues on these requirements.
