This person is responsible for timely delivery of equipment to the contractual point of delivery without impact to the project. The expeditor is also responsible for timely submittal of critical documentation to our Engineering and Project team.

Responsibilities:
  • To interface with the regional procurement team and project team to ensure suitable expediting plans are developed at the start of the procurement phase of the project, with specific action plans for underperforming suppliers and critical path items.
  • Expedite equipment include steel, furnace, oven, boiler, sinter, pellet, HSM, CRM, EAF, renewable packaged equipment, fabricated equipment, rotating equipment, and V&I etc. across various projects.
  • To expedite efficiently and effectively the equipment and associated drawings and documentation to be delivered on time to meet contractually agreed deadlines.
  • The expeditor will immediately notify the project team and procurement manager of any potential or actual problems or delays which could adversely affect delivery of equipment of drawings.
  • The expeditor will be required to identify the need and undertake field expediting.
  • The expeditor will advise the project team, procurement manager and engineering of any need to expedite the internal review and return of supplier documentation to maintain schedule.
  • The expeditor will ensure that the material control database is continuously and accurately updated, and any electronic filling is kept up to date and maintained accurately.
  • The expeditor will ensure that AM inspection is provided with timely notification of all relevant inspections, whether intermediate or final, in accordance with the manufacturing or ITP.
  • The expeditor must ensure sufficient historical records of progress, delays and delivery are maintained in the material control database or system and electronic filling to provide Procurement with recommendations for LD claims, back charges and supplier improvement plans.
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor or master’s degree in engineering.
  • 10+ years expediting experience in Industrial or EPC environment.
  • Thorough understanding of Procurement function.
  • Thorough understanding and prior experience of office and field expediting
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal/external partners.
  • Ability to work cross functionally and cross region within AM.
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve results.
  • Ability to bring suppliers, individuals, and teams together to achieve on time delivery.
