Transformation Project Manager

Location: Mainland China

Job Purpose: To manage and deliver complex transformation projects within Group, ensuring alignment with the business strategy and goals. The role involves managing all aspects of project delivery from initiation to closure, working closely with stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Management:

    • Develop comprehensive project plans, identifying key milestones, dependencies, and resources required.
    • Ensure all project deliverables are aligned with Group’s Business Transformation Framework.
    • Manage project scope, budget, timelines, and quality standards.
    • Monitor project progress, identifying and mitigating risks and issues as they arise.
  2. Stakeholder Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with project sponsors, steering committees, and other key stakeholders.
    • Facilitate regular communication and reporting to stakeholders on project status, risks, and issues.
    • Obtain buy-in from stakeholders for key project decisions and changes.
  3. Risk and Issue Management:

    • Proactively identify and manage project risks and issues.
    • Develop and implement mitigation plans to address risks and issues.
    • Escalate critical issues to senior management when necessary.
  4. Change Management:

    • Lead the implementation of change initiatives to ensure smooth transitions and benefits realization.
    • Engage with business units to ensure readiness for change and support effective adoption.
    • Monitor and support post-implementation to ensure changes are embedded and delivering expected benefits.
  5. Team Leadership and Development:

    • Lead project teams, providing clear direction and support.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
    • Provide regular feedback and coaching to team members to support their development.

Requirements:

  • Experience:

    • Extensive experience in project management, preferably within the financial services industry.
    • Proven track record of managing large-scale transformation projects.
    • Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project).
  • Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Finance, IT).
    • Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2, Agile PM) preferred.

Additional Information:

  • This role may require travel to various global locations as needed.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese may be required for roles in certain regions.
