KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Creative Direction
1)Influence strategy for product area, providing recommendations regarding seasonal themes and edits to line. Ensure all products reflect the brand’s identity, values, performance standards and equally meet the local consumer’s need.
2)Drive innovation in materials, constructions accordingly.
3)Develop moodboards and sketches for product line and advocate for design ideas by presenting to internal leadership and cross functional partners.
2. Team Collaboration
1)Develop strong internal and cross-functional relationships with Merchandising, Production, and Marketing to ensure product concept to store and site execution is a seamless customer experience.
2)Partner with Production and Technician to create tech packs and communicate vision behind fit and product design, ensuring execution, quality, and desired margin targets are achieved.
3. Market & Trend Analysis
1)Stay ahead of emerging sports trends, technologies and consumer insights.
2)Conduct competitive research to maintain the brand’s leadership and differentiation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1)Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Design, Fashion Design, Product Design, or related field.
2)6+ years of design experience within the sportswear, or performance apparel industry.
3)Expert knowledge of design related software is required (Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop).
4)Comprehensive understanding of functional construction and manufacturing processes.
5)Excellent communication, presentation skills and clarity of thoughts.
6)Proven ability to work in fast-paced environments with multiple stakeholders.
