As Operations Director, you will have responsibility for the management and smooth functioning of the Operations Team serving the growing number of staff based in China. This will focus on Finance, Compliance, HR, Communications, Grant & Contracts, Development, etc. Working collaboratively, you will ensure the Operations Team addresses evolving operational needs effectively, enabling company's collective impact.
1, Finance and Compliance & Legal and administrative
* Directing and coordinating organization's financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize outcome, and increase efficiency.
* Enable smooth functioning of all China programs by providing required operational support to all program staff.
* Manage all other operational functions and staff in the China offices to ensure sufficient staff capacity and strong internal controls.
2. Business Planning, Statutory Compliance & Risk Management
* Long - and short-term business direction analysis: support the company's specific mid - to long-term strategic analysis and short-term business analysis, assist business departments in organizing analysis frameworks, and combine external market conditions, user and product insights to propose strategic suggestions for the phased development of the business;
* Business opportunity identification: Pay attention to changes in core business data, identify business risks and opportunities through qualitative research and quantitative analysis, and output specialized reports;
3. Human Resources Provide oversight and support to the Human Resources Function to manage employee relations and help create a positive and productive work environment for all staff located in the China offices.
4. Communications Design and highly execute communication and engagement strategies to promote company's impact in China and effectively convey China’s key messages to the world.
Qualifications and Requirements
1. Minimum of 10 years of full time relevant professional experience working in management and operations.
2. master’s degree and above
3. Substantial experience including management responsibility for an operational or support department in a complex and fast-changing and growing organization with a strong track record of delivering high-quality services across a variety of operations areas.
4. Excellent people management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
5. Knowledge of regional labor law and financial regulation preferred.
6. Knowledge of written and spoken English is mandatory.
