Main responsibility:
Basic Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Support drug discovery projects at various stages from CADD perspective including but not limited to druggability evaluation, virtual screening, hit triage, rational design etc.
- Apply state-of-art computational methods including physics-based and data-driven approaches to the most appropriate application scenario for each project.
- Provide information and technical analysis for drug target evaluation.
- Assist assay development by probe design etc.
- Perform SAR analysis and provide optimization direction/suggestion to the project team.
- Participate in proposing new drug targets and potentially coordinating different functions to build new drug discovery programs.
- Work closely with medicinal chemists, data/AIDD scientist, biologists, and other functions.
Basic Qualifications
- PhD in computational chemistry/biology or closely related area with strong track record of scientific publications including patents.
- Expertise in using CADD/AIDD technologies such as molecular docking, MD simulation, free energy perturbation, structure prediction AI models, quantum mechanics, cheminformatics, etc.
- Familiar with common software such as Schrodinger, MOE, etc
- Good understanding of underlying methodologies as well as their pros and cons.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work independently and cooperatively.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years or above of experience with drug discovery projects and rational drug design.
- Good understanding of biology or having related trainings
- Experience with scripting language and machine/deep learning techniques.
