1. Own the top-line target for China and APAC across all product lines.
2. Deal Origination, Negotiation and Closing
3. Collaborate with the COO and Chief of Staff on pricing governance; hold the line on margin.
4. Act as the day-to-day commercial owner of regional distribution/channel partner relationships
5. relationship mapping, executive sponsorship, technical qualification, commercial negotiation, contract signature, ramp-up, and expansion.
6. Deliver market intelligence on competitors, customer economics, and regulatory shifts (plastic reduction, PFAS alternatives, recyclability standards, EPR, food-contact compliance) that shape commercial positioning.
7. Partner with R&D and industrialization teams to scope customer trials with clear commercial success criteria and go/no-go gates.
Required Experience
1. 10+ years in B2B specialty chemicals or industrial materials sales, with a demonstrable track record
2. Deep experience in one or more of: industrial chemicals (wet-end, coating, barrier), specialty coatings, industrial adhesives, inks, food-contact materials, or products sold into manufacturers, converters, packaging producers, or brand supply chains.
3. Proven track record of moving specialty chemistries through a full qualification cycle in China – from technical trial to signed multi-year supply agreement, with pricing defended.
