China, as a key sourcing hub, is not only critical for execution, but increasingly serves as a core engine for product innovation and development, especially across Hardline and Textile categories.

This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a strategically important sourcing platform while contributing to the next phase of transformation and innovation within the organization.

Role Overview

As Sourcing Head – Shanghai, you will lead the Shanghai sourcing office (approx. 80 team members), overseeing both Hardline and Textile sourcing with a total business scope of around €400M.

You will play a critical role in strengthening sourcing capabilities, driving operational excellence, and bringing more innovation, agility and market responsiveness into the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Shanghai sourcing organization, ensuring strong performance, engagement and talent development
• Oversee sourcing activities across Hardline and Textile categories, including supplier strategy, cost optimization, quality and delivery
• Act as a key interface with global stakeholders, aligning China sourcing capabilities with international business needs
• Drive product and sourcing innovation, enhancing supplier collaboration and contributing to differentiated private label offerings
• Expand and optimize the supplier ecosystem, identifying new partners and opportunities for value creation
• Improve operational efficiency and promote a more agile and results-driven sourcing model
• Collaborate closely with internal teams (buying, merchandising, quality) to ensure seamless execution

Candidate Profile

• Strong experience in sourcing / procurement leadership, ideally within international retail, sourcing offices or supply chain-driven organizations
• Solid exposure to multi-category sourcing, particularly Hardline and/or Textile
• Proven track record in leading mid-to-large size teams in a complex, matrix environment
• Ability to operate in a global organization, with strong stakeholder management skills
• A hands-on, execution-oriented leader with a mindset for continuous improvement and innovation
• Experience in driving transformation or efficiency improvement initiatives is a plus
• Fluent in English; French is a strong advantage
