Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead the distribution sales strategy to significantly grow sales and achieve the long-term goals for 2030.
  • Execute sales plans including account recommendations, product sales volumes, pricing, visit planning, account potential analysis, and budgeting.
  • Achieve revenue and margin targets for distribution sales.
  • Regularly visit customers and potential customers with the sales team to develop strong relationships.
  • Provide product training and selling strategies for key portfolio products to the sales team.
  • Manage all customer interactions for Distribution business including complaint management.
  • Develop new distribution customers and increase product sales per customer (share of wallet).
  • Identify and assess new principals to close portfolio gaps with Regional Distribution Services.
  • Negotiate purchase prices and terms with principals.
  • Develop key principal managers in the sales team to drive key principal development in China. 
  • Serve as the main communication channel between the company and principals.
  • Establish necessary market information and pitch documents and ensure they are updated.
  • Organize and lead product training for the sales team with new and existing principals.
  • Drive cross-selling to support the growth of distribution sales into the CaCo3 customer base and vice versa.
  • Ensure compliance with product regulation through sustainability assessments (including the PAP Process for all new products).
  • Maintain up-to-date technical data sheets and certificates of analysis.
  • Coordinate various distribution-related projects.
  • Collaborate with principals on marketing activities such as road shows and lunch and learns.
Requirements:
  • >15 years of relevant sales experience in specialty chemical distribution with good understanding of POL and CON.
  • Seasoned sales team leader with >8 years leading a sales team
  • Thorough understanding of chemical distribution business and the market in China
  • Must be adept at negotiation and customer service.
  • Ability to maintain and establish (new) relationship at principal’s senior management.
  • Proven track record in identifying and progressing new business opportunities. Ability to drive business with energy and enthusiasm.
  • Team player, open communication style with willingness to impart and share knowledge at all levels.
  • Willingness to travel. Both locally and regionally.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English
